Every year in the Spring, couples from all over New Jersey and the surrounding area come to the Nassau Inn in Princeton for the annual Princeton Wedding Showcase. With Door Prizes, Swag Bags, a Fashion Show, and over 40 vendors displaying information, it’s no wonder the show draws over 125 brides and their entourages. This is the second year I’ve been fortunate enough to set up a vendor display at this fantastic expo.
Attendees received Swag Bags at registration filled with gifts and coupons from many of the vendors in attendance. Complimentary cocktails and passed hors d’oeuvres were available throughout the show, as guests weaved from room to room chatting with vendors, making connections, and getting fresh ideas for their upcoming weddings. From DJs and bands, to bakeries and florists, to photographers, stylists, stationery artists, and even officiants like yours truly, there was truly something for everyone.
Erik Kent, Co-Publisher of NJWedding.com and Media Sponsor, was there taking pictures, meeting with vendors, and helping attendees make much needed connections to those who could help them most. One of the co-sponsors, Bridal Suite Boutique, hosted the Runway Fashion Show, giving brides ideas not only for their own gowns, but also for their entire bridal parties.
My neighbors this year were Princeton Fitness & Wellness Center, who were raffling off free memberships, and Madame Cupcake Shop, who had some of the yummiest and cutest treats at the show! Kevin & Georgianne from Monday Morning Flowers were there with gorgeous floral arrangements, the team from Nourish Natural Soap Co came stocked with adorable favor ideas, and Melissa from Cupcake Graphics had a variety of unique invitation designs for people to check out. And of course Ambient DJs (who were the emcees for the fashion show) kept the crowd entertained once again this year. I briefly got to see some of my neighbors from last year - Julie Dassaro Photography and Sumo Sushi, and I even got to meet the whiz behind Simply Sweets by Lauren (who I openly admitted to facebook stalking since last summer, when I bought some of her treats at the local farmers market -- thanks for not judging me Lauren!)
Wedding Shows are a great way to meet your potential vendors, get new ideas (and samples), and even meet other couples so you can brainstorm together and compare ideas! And as a vendor, it gives me a great opportunity to meet YOU and to network with other vendors so we can keep giving you reliable recommendations when you need them.
